Having played cricket for Karnataka U-16 during his school days - Ajit is a
post graduate (MBA) who brings with him over 10 years of work experience.
Having started off his career with a business magazine in Bangalore, he
moved to Radio Mirchi in the early 2000's.
He then joined ESPN STAR Sports in Bangalore and often describes his 4 year
stint with them as most enriching. He fondly recollects ESPN's effort to
resurrect hockey in the country via Premier Hockey League - an effort that
he was closely involved with. A brief stint at Globosport in 2007, followed
by a consultancy role with Cornerstone Sport & Entertainment (worked on the
first edition of IPL, as MasterCard's sponsorship activation arm); Ajit's
last assignment before joining Procam in 2009 was with Reliance Media World
(BIG Sport & Entertainment)
On the panel of J.N. Tata Endowment, Ajit assists them to shortlist
deserving candidates applying for scholarships to pursue higher education in
Sport based courses.
