THE LEELA BEACH SPECTACULAR 1991; GOA, INDIA

The Leela Beach Spectacular was successfully conducted for the first time ever in India on December 7 and 8, 1991. Hailed by one and all as an outstanding success, the event captured the hearts and imagination of both the press and public. 25,000 spectators and 2,000 invitees were treated to a blend of Water Ski acrobatics and competition. Participating were the Eight World Champions along with 'The Aqua Masters' - the International Ambassadors of water-skiing.

Given that India traditionally does not cater to water-skiing as sports, Procam International helped to break the sporting mould.
