Dr Tulika Tyagi is a 31-year-old passionate runner. She started participating in running events from last year only and has completed seven 10KM Runs, four Half Marathons, one ‘’25 KM Hill Endurathon’’ and one event of ‘’6 hours Mid-Night Run’’. She is podium finisher at a couple of 10 KM Runs. In Addition to running, she has also been 60 minutes pacer at Thane 10 K Run.
Tulika was associated with various sports activities since her college and school days. Her running journey started to bombard her obesity and stress level. She joined a group of self-supported runners who believe in running, sharing their running experiences and encouraging others to run. Now it is being years, she is associated with running inspiring people around her and leaving a healthy lifestyle.
Tulika’s personal best for 10 KM run is 54 Minutes and 58 Seconds in ''Pennat Kalyan Dombivli Marathon 2018’’ where she was podium finisher in her category(Rank-2). She is also Podium Finisher (10 KM Run) of Decathlon Thane Half Marathon (Category Rank-1) & Thane Marathon 10 K Run (Category Rank-1). Her Personal Best in Half-Marathon is 02 hours and 07 Minutes.
Professionally, Tulika is a teacher in Allen Career Institute where she helps her students to shape their career path by achieving their academic goals. This year in 2018, Tulika has completed her PhD. in PHARMACOGNOSY after her M.Tech in Biotechnology.
Mrs Dhwani Punjabi, 34 years old started running marathons in 2017 and since then in her running journey, she has completed 3 Half Marathons and 22 10k runs. She is not only a consistent pace runner but also a podium finisher in many 10k runs conducted across Mumbai in the past 2 years. 59.45 minutes is her personal best for a 10k run.
Dhwani's running journey started after the delivery of her 2nd Kid in 2016. Initially intended just to lose some weight and get back to shape, her casual jogging gradually matured her into a marathon runner. Despite being a mother of 2 kids, her commitment and dedication towards running have been no less. Running has not only revived her memories of school sports participation but also has ignited a hidden passion for it. She strongly believes that running had made her more focused and healthier, both physically and mentally.
Professionally, Dhwani is a Director of "Ace Heart Clinic", a cardiology speciality centre in the western suburbs. Academically, Dhwani holds an MBA degree in healthcare in addition to a master’s degree in commerce.
To celebrate her joy of running, Dhwani decided to translate and spread her cause of running to others. Pacing for marathons accomplishes her desire to run for self as well as for others.
Raju Verma is a 45-years old runner, who has completed 41 half marathons across the country & countless 10 Km over the last 5 years. In addition to this, he has also been the 70 min pacer at Airtel Hyderabad Marathon 2018, where he successfully brought the bus home in 01:09:56.
Raju Verma began his journey as a state level athlete during his schooling and represented various football clubs at National level. In the year 1987 he was accredited with President award in Scout. As an athlete, running was his passion and fitness activity of choice. Long distance running started for him with a half marathon in 2013.
Raju Verma’s personal best for 10 Km marathon is 00:59:12 – in WNC Navy Half Marathon-2016. He successfully paced for Tarblazer event & was Race Ambassador for Mumbai 10K Run Bandra.
He loves being a pacer and motivates people to achieve their dream. He believes that the joy of running for others is much more than running for a PB.
Over the above, Raju Verma is goal driven Security Professional presently working in Mahanagar Gas Ltd.
Daksha is a mother of a 12-year-old son and self-employed by profession. It was in 2016 she participated at running event at her son's school annual day, where she achieved 1st position in overall female category. Never having run over a km since and achieving a podium position inspired her to run regularly. DNA Half Marathon was then her first ever timed road race. So far, she has successfully completed over 25 10Ks and 15 Half Marathon races till date and achieved podium rank 7 times at various running events. Her personal best for half marathon is 02:09:44, and for 10K is 57:02.
Apart from running, Daksha loves dancing, painting, listing music and loves to play Badminton.
Running for her reminds her that she is still living strong and healthy today. Daksha believes that running is a stress reliever and one of the things that frees her from various distractions and worries.
Daksha says "My focus in pacing is to help all my fellow runners to cross the finish line within their target time within 80 minutes at ease. Till the time train well, hydrate and take proper rest. Happy Running."
